To manage the forecasted growth of DGE, we are looking for a supply chain manager.

At present the logistics processes are handled by one of the DGE shareholders, MAVOM bv, and we aim to create a new DGE department to manage the future operations.


An interesting job:


The new supply chain manager will be responsible for:

  • Shaping and handling a new outsourced logistic and warehousing set up .This can be organized through existing or new partnerships.
  • Defining the information flow and needed IT tools required to manage the relationship with both suppliers, customers and warehousing partners.
  • Setting a new agreement with the existing / new transport partner.
  • Ensuring measurable quality, accuracy and reliability of the shipments to our customers.
  • Defining, together with the Managing Director, the procurement policies.
  • Keeping a proper control of inventories and of the overall supply chain costs.
  • Building and strengthening the internal organization in order to handle the future turnover growth.
  • Managing the customer service department.

Requested knowledge, skills and abilities


The supply chain manager will be supported in the set up process by the Managing Director of DGE and a shareholder representative. When this task is accomplished he will work very independently handling this business and reporting to the managing director.

In the initial phase the position will be based in Alphen a/d Rijn in the offices of MAVOM. In the near future we will move to a new location dedicated for DGE in the Alphen area.


The person we are looking for:

  • Minimum requirements an HBO/ Bachelor education , Business Administration, Logistics. 
  • Have adequate (5 to 10 years) working experience in logistics, warehousing and supply chain solutions and in managing growth.
  • Well experienced to work with controlled logistics where processes are visibly controlled by on line dashboards and performance cards
  • Fluent English and Dutch, both in writing and speech is required.
  • Living nearby Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands or willing to move to
  • Above all being a motivating personality.

DGE wants to be best in class in this field and the new Supply chain manager has to contribute to this.  To bring DGE to logistic excellence will be the key objective.

It is a demanding job because DGE is number 1 supplier to most of its customers.
